Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a collection of a person’s own platelets and other regenerative cells like leukocytes, cytokines, proteins, and growth factors that can enhance healing and tissue regeneration. It is created by taking a small sample of blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the various cells and to concentrate the platelets.

It has been our experience that higher concentrations of PRP lend themselves better to higher concentrations of bioactive compounds.  An XCELL PRP product test performed by Intermountain Healthcare laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT independently confirmed the following results from a 60ML kit size with an average PRP volume of 6.25mL:

• Platelet concentration up to 9x baseline
• Average platelet count of 1,213,000/ul
• Over 7.5 billion platelets in a single dose

Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRM) therapy uses whole blood from the patient to create a 3D autologous fibrin scaffolding (clot). This is a similar alternative to standard PRP, that provides the full compliments of plasma, leukocytes, cytokines, and growth factors that are in an activated fibrin matrix providing a unique structure and sustained release in an exogenous fibrin blood clot scaffold.  

ClotMaster is available in a 20mL blood draw kit that offers approximately 10mL of Fibrin Matrix.
